Sylvia Kalley is the Associate Director of Fellowships at the Aspen Global Innovators Group, leading the Impact and Advanced Advocacy Fellowship programs, which supports Global Changemakers and Advocates driving impactful social movements across the world. With over 20 years of experience in the non-profit and academic sectors, six of those in senior management roles, Sylvia has developed deep expertise in Country Office Leadership, Grants and Contracts Management, and New Business Development. Her passion for Africa’s development is at the core of her work, where she empowers local entrepreneurs and advocates fostering innovative solutions to promote social equity.
Her leadership has spanned across multi-million dollar portfolios in international health and development, working with prominent organizations such as the World Bank, PACT, Concern Worldwide, Columbia University, Georgetown University, and various US nonprofits. She is recognized for her strategic planning and performance management expertise, particularly in developing and tracking key performance indicators. A solutions-driven leader, Sylvia is committed to building strong relationships, mentoring teams, and communicating effectively to achieve shared goals.
Sylvia is also the co-founder of Launchpad Africa, a global non-profit dedicated to supporting African entrepreneurs, providing them with the resources and networks needed to succeed. Having lived and worked in Sierra Leone and Mali, and traveled to over 28 countries, Sylvia brings a global perspective to her work.
