Aspen Global Innovators Group Announces Second Class of Advanced Advocacy Fellows
Advancing the Work of Five Changemakers to Transform Advocacy into Action
Washington, DC, January 28, 2024– The Aspen Global Innovators Group is excited to introduce the second cohort of its Advanced Advocacy Program (AAP), a groundbreaking initiative supporting five visionary leaders dedicated to addressing critical global health and development challenges. These exceptional fellows, selected from AGI’s vibrant community of 197 Flagship Fellowship alumni, represent innovative, locally-rooted, and globally-connected leadership.
“Data shows that two years after completing the New Voices Fellowship, fellows experience a 120% increase in global recognition, opening doors to opportunities that amplify their impact,” said Peggy Clark, Interim Executive Director of the Aspen Global Innovators Group. “This program provides resources and connections needed to help these leaders scale their groundbreaking, community-driven solutions. We are honored to support them in shaping a healthier, more equitable future.”
The Advanced Advocacy Program represents AGI’s commitment to reinvesting in its fellows by building on the successes and learnings from their fellowship year. Through flexible funding, tailored mentorship, and specialized training in key topics such as advocacy, leveraging social media, and narrative change, the program equips fellows with the tools to implement bold new strategies that address systemic barriers and drive sustainable change. “This cohort was selected for their exceptional leadership and innovative approaches to tackling critical global challenges,” said Sylvia Kalley, Associate Director of the Aspen Global Innovators Group. “The program is a strategic investment in their work, equipping them to amplify their impact and chart new paths for transformative solutions.”
