AMP Health supports ministry partners in sub-Sarahan Africa to develop and strengthen leadership and management capabilities, so that they are better able to drive their own health systems forward. Through partnership with AMP, team members have improved individual skillsets; developed deeper levels of trust, shared meaning and purpose, and better team communication; and introduced new processes and tools to better enable achievement of their objectives. Teams have used these capabilities to increase programmatic resources, develop new partnerships, and improve service delivery for essential primary health care services, like immunizations and community health workers.
AMP Health’s support has made a big impact on how we see our jobs. Public Health is not only about the technical aspects of health service delivery. It is also about the attitude and behavioral changes that must happen to make a real and lasting impact.
