Habtamu Yesigat is an agricultural development economist with extensive research experience in sub-Saharan Africa. Habtamu is currently serving as Ethiopia director of programs for Precision Agriculture for Development, which supports smallholder farmers in developing countries by providing customized information and services that increase productivity, profitability, and environmental sustainability. Habtamu holds a PhD from the Technical University Munich (Germany) in Production and Resource Economics, an MSc degree in Rural Development from University of Gent (Belgium) and Humboldt University of Berlin (Germany), and an Msc in Agricultural Economics from Haramaya University (Ethiopia).
