Uche Udekwe

Uche Kenneth Udekwe is a Social Entrepreneur, SDG Advocate, Founder/CEO at NATAL CARES. He is a Public Health Administrator deeply passionate about design thinking and ICT for social good.

Uche lost his childhood friend/sister-in-law at childbirth due to complications of pregnancy and delivery in 2017, it was one of the saddest moments in his life. Since then, he has dedicated himself to take action to put an end to maternal and child deaths or at least reduce them to the barest minimum.

Uche runs NATAL CARES, A social enterprise that harnesses Mobile Technology, Machine Learning and Low Cost Innovation primarily focusing on providing health care, medical monitoring and emergency services to at-risk pregnant women, reaching them in their hometowns and villages and advocating for better access to healthcare at primary healthcare centres.

He brings a wealth of experience to his work, having been recognized as an Impact West Africa Fellow, LEAP Africa Fellow, FATE Foundation Fellow, and an alumnus of Lagos Business School.
