2023 Impact West Africa Fellow
Fatou Ndow is an experienced public health program leader specialising in HIV, sexual & reproductive health and nutrition. She uses research; to design, implement and advocate for programs which prioritise community engagement, strategic planning and donor relations. Fatou advocates for community organisations that are at the forefront, providing health promotion and services in the sub-region.
Fatou’s educational journey includes a bachelor’s degree in nutrition from St Mary’s University and a master’s in public health from Oxford Brookes University. Presently, Fatou works as a program coordinator at the Civil Society Institute for Health in West and Central Africa
In 2023, Fatou contributed to the Lancet Commission on the Future of Health and Economic Resiliency in Africa. In the past, she has managed research projects, including the biological and behavioural studies on HIV, as well as research on the Senegalese perspectives on the future of diets.
