In the first live Aspen Health for All conversation, experts explore entrepreneurial solutions to put masks and protective equipment in the hands of health workers. The session brings together perspectives from manufacturers, humanitarians, and frontline community health workers.

Esther Choo, MD MPH

Esther Choo, MD MPH is an Associate Professor in the Center for Policy and Research in Emergency Medicine at Oregon Health & Science University. She is a practicing physician and NIH-funded investigator, with expertise in drug policy, injury, and gender disparities in healthcare.

Ami Dror

Ami Dror, is the co-founder of LeapLearner, a Shanghai-based education technology company that enables children to code our AI-powered world. As a father of three, Mr. Dror is passionate about cultivating kids’ ability to be innovative and recently authored a Chinese best-selling book, 养育下一代创新者(Raising Future Innovators), that aims to give parents and educators the tools to raise next generation of global leaders. Mr. Dror is a Henry Crown Fellow at the Aspen Institute, a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network and a member of the Aspen Institute Moderator Corps.

Navyn Salem

Navyn Salem, in 2009 Navyn set out to help end the crisis of global malnutrition by founding Edesia, a U.S. non-profit, social enterprise, with a mission to treat and prevent malnutrition in developing countries worldwide. The factory in Rhode Island produces a range of fortified, peanut-based products like Plumpy’Nut for humanitarian agencies like UNICEF, World Food Programme, USAID and other NGOs working in emergency and conflict zones. She is a member of the Henry Crown Fellowship’s 2014 Bones & Elephants class.
